Registered Nurse – ICU Stepdown (Days or Nights) | Sanford, FL

Overview:

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced ICU Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dedicated team in Sanford, Florida. This role is ideal for a dependable nurse who excels in providing high-quality, patient-centered care to those requiring close monitoring and frequent assessments. You’ll work alongside a collaborative and supportive team committed to excellence, safety, and patient satisfaction.

Responsibilities:
- Collect comprehensive data and perform thorough patient assessments
- Advocate for patients as an integral part of the interdisciplinary healthcare team
- Use sound clinical judgment to manage and prioritize patient care safely and effectively
- Monitor critical vital signs and initiate prompt intervention in life-threatening situations
- Educate patients and families about medications, treatments, and care plans
- Support patients and their families throughout hospitalization, fostering trust and understanding

Experience:
- Minimum 1 year of recent acute care ICU Stepdown experience required
- Will also consider candidates with 3+ years of Cardiac PCU or Multisystem PCU experience

Education:
- Registered Nurse Diploma or Associate Degree required; BSN preferred

Licensure:
- Active Florida RN license or Compact State RN license (must obtain FL license within 60 days of relocation)
- Certifications:

NIH Stroke Scale – within 30 days of hire

Basic Life Support (BLS) – within 30 days of hire

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – within 6 months of hire

Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary Range:
- $31.86 – $36.12/hr (5 years’ experience)
- $40.44/hr (10 years’ experience)
- $46.28/hr (17+ years’ experience)
- Shift Differentials:
- Nights: +$4.50/hr
- Weekends: +$1.50/hr
- Sign-On Bonus:
- Days: $15, 000
- Nights: $20, 000
- (Sign-on bonuses available through end of Q3; subject to reevaluation thereafter)
