Registered Nurse – MICU (Night Shift)

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) Registered Nurse to join our critical care team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to acutely and critically ill patients. This position offers the opportunity to work with a collaborative multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced, evidence-based environment focused on improving outcomes and delivering exceptional patient experiences.

Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with established standards and best practices
- Perform monitoring, procedures, and interventions as ordered by medical providers
- Accurately document all patient care in the medical record in a timely and thorough manner
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and ongoing self-care
- Advocate for patient safety and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal outcomes
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives to enhance care and departmental performance
- Promote effective communication and teamwork within the MICU

Qualifications:

Experience: Minimum of 1 year of acute care RN experience within the last 3 years (higher-acuity experience strongly preferred; strong Med-Surg candidates considered)

Education: Associate Degree required; BSN preferred

Licensure:
- Active Florida RN license or Compact State RN license (compact license holders must obtain a Florida license within 60 days of relocation)
- Certifications:

Basic Life Support (BLS, AHA) – required within 30 days of hire

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – required within 90 days of hire

Ideal candidates demonstrate critical thinking, adaptability, and a strong commitment to patient safety and quality outcomes.

Compensation & Benefits:

Salary Range: $30.60 – $45.90 per hour (based on experience)
- Midpoint: $38.25 (approx. 8 years’ experience)
- Shift Differentials:
- Nights: +$4.25/hr
- Weekends: +$3.00/hr

Sign-On Bonus: $15,000 (Nights)
