About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Sonographer to join our imaging team in Panama City, FL. This role is ideal for someone who values high-quality patient care, teamwork, and professional growth. You will be part of a supportive department that prioritizes collaboration, communication, and strong clinical practice.
The ideal candidate is confident performing a wide range of ultrasound exams—including General, Vascular, OB/GYN, and Pediatric studies—and is looking for a long-term professional home.
This role is based in a 238-bed hospital with a 45-bed Emergency Department, supported by a committed imaging team of 7.71 FTEs.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform a full range of diagnostic ultrasound exams according to physician orders and established protocols
- Maintain competency across varied modalities including general, vascular, OB/GYN, and pediatric ultrasound
- Ensure accuracy and clarity when documenting and communicating exam results
- Operate ultrasound equipment safely, troubleshooting as needed and maintaining quality assurance
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered care while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality
- Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, nurses, and other care team members to ensure optimal workflow
- Support quality improvement efforts and adhere to departmental and organizational standards

Qualifications
- Associate Degree required
- Prefer 2+ years of experience; strong new graduates will be considered
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of hire
- RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist) or RVS (Registered Vascular Specialist) certification required within 1 year of hire

Compensation & Incentives
Hourly Pay Range:
- $29.56 starting rate
- $35.47 with 5–6 years experience
- Up to $40.65 for 10+ years experience

Shift Differentials:
- Evenings: +$2.00/hour
- Nights: +$3.00/hour
