## Description

A Director of Critical Care is sought for a 350+ bed Level III Trauma Center and emergency facility in Alexandria, LA. This leadership role oversees Critical Care, Cardiology Services, and related programs across a combined 41-bed ICU footprint (26-bed MICU and 15-bed SICU), with an average daily census of approximately 25–30 patients.

The role. Reporting to the Assistant Chief Nursing Officer, the Director leads approximately 68 FTEs across the MICU and SICU and holds accountability for the Stroke Program, Chest Pain Center, and Rapid Response Program, with anticipated future oversight of a developing PCU/stepdown unit and likely responsibility for the CPR Committee. The Director drives strategic and tactical planning to maximize the effectiveness of Critical Care and Cardiology Services, including capital and operational budget development and management, with a target of holding department operating expenses and productive hours within defined performance bands. This role owns continuous performance improvement across care quality and patient satisfaction, develops and implements department policies and procedures, and provides ongoing staff orientation, in-service training, and continuing education. Cross-functional collaboration with physicians, administrative staff, and interdepartmental partners is central to expanding critical care and cardiology service lines while ensuring full regulatory compliance.

What we're looking for.
- Bachelor's degree in nursing required
- Master's in nursing or health related area preferred
- Current Louisiana RN License
- 2+ years of Acute Care Critical Care leadership experience; recent acute care is preferred, but not required for an otherwise strong leadership candidate with proven ability to lead large or challenging teams, develop staff, and drive operational performance

Schedule. Full-time, day shift, with 24/7 leadership accountability.

Compensation. $106,000 - $159,000 per year plus Relocation Assistance: Case by Case
