At All Med Search, some of our favorite moments happen outside of interviews, paperwork, and job offers.
Recently, All Med Search CEO Nadia Gruzd had the opportunity to meet Ricci, one of our wonderful Canadian registered nurses, for dinner before Ricci makes her move to Alexandria, Louisiana.
It was a special chance to connect in person and celebrate an exciting milestone in a nursing journey that has already taken Ricci across countries and continents.
A Nursing Journey Across Borders
Originally from the Philippines, Ricci moved to Canada in 2013 and built a life and nursing career in Alberta. Now, more than a decade later, she is preparing for another exciting international move as she continues her nursing career in the United States.
Her next destination is Alexandria, Louisiana, where she will soon begin the next chapter of her career with her new hospital team.
Moving to another country for a nursing opportunity is a major life change. Between US nursing license requirements, immigration, preparing for a new position, and relocating to a new community, there are many steps involved.
Ricci has been working with the All Med Search team throughout her US nursing journey, and after all of that preparation, her move to Louisiana is getting closer.
Celebrating Before the Big Move
Before Ricci leaves Alberta, Nadia was able to meet her for dinner in person.
It was a wonderful opportunity to spend time together away from emails and phone calls, celebrate how far Ricci has come, and talk about the exciting transition ahead. These are the moments that make international nurse recruitment especially meaningful for our team.
At All Med Search, we know that accepting a nursing position in the United States is about much more than accepting a job.
Our international nurses are making significant decisions about their careers, families, and futures. They may be leaving communities they have called home for years and preparing to build a new life in an unfamiliar city.
That is why our relationship with our nurses doesn’t end when they receive a job offer.
From exploring US opportunities and interviewing with hospitals to navigating the TN visa process and preparing for relocation, our goal is to provide support throughout the journey.
Ricci’s story is a great example of just how far that journey can take you.
From the Philippines to Canada, and now from Alberta to Louisiana, each chapter has brought a new opportunity to grow personally and professionally. We are incredibly excited for Ricci as she prepares to make Louisiana her new home and begin this next chapter of her nursing career.
It was wonderful for Nadia to have the opportunity to meet Ricci in person before her move, and the entire All Med Search team is looking forward to welcoming her to the United States.
Congratulations, Ricci! We are so happy to be part of your journey and can’t wait to see what comes next.
